News Update: Building Magnate Starts Major Enterprise in Golden Triangle

Dec 2, 2015

In a surprise development, land developer Norris Peterson announced plans to develop an eighty story skyscraper in the Golden Triangle. The mixed-use high rise will feature luxury apartments above the tenth floor.

Controversy surrounded the proposed development, which has been in planning stages for the past five years, when the Denver City Council approved condemnation proceedings for several protected Historical Landmark sites at the location of the new skyscraper. Despite threats of lawsuits and boycotts, the groups protesting the development were unable to reverse the Denver City Council decision. One Councilwoman, Margarite Sanchez, described the entire deal as “shady and totally inappropriate.” Mr. Peterson was not available for comment.
